Born Again
The world is big but I am small
so I tried to run this time around.
I failed to see and do it all,
though I covered a lot of ground.
Now the pace has slowed; the trail's gone cold
but deep within the flame burns hot.
The story's read; the ending told.
The mind is willing but the body's not.
To live again is its own reward.
No time to finish what is started.
You begin again when your soul has soared.
Bid goodbye to the newly departed.
A babe is born while others mourn.
The breath of life ignites the light.
A new vessel to replace one worn.
From darkness comes bright daylight.
Thus, the cycle continues onward
never ending so I say:
"The meaning of life must be explored
or you'll die to live another day".
