Books By Edith
What we like best about books by Edith
Are all well worth it and will readeth
And would always walk many a mile
To buy one written Southern Style.
One might be a marvelous mystery
While other was about local history
Was character who had been so shy
Blushed each time she would pass by.
So at St. James she became an acolyte
Making sure things were done alright
Occasionally read about Savior Jesus
And she never suffered from enuresis.
When she read was as steady as can be
And in each verse you could start to see
What happened and actually went on
Lit your eyes up like the bright sun.
What a marvelous voice she sure had
While mine is bad and seems so sad
A message from God to Edith did come
Vestry Board Member Jim Horn must become.
