Body Parts

My chin is on a pedestal
The pedestal is my hand
The foundation is my elbow
My knee is where it stands

My head is just an orb
That's cradled up above
The mind inside is spinning
With my dreams of hope and love

Deep inside my cranium
Electric impulse flows
I contemplate the meanings
Of the things nobody knows

My heart is kept imprisoned
Inside a cage of ribs
It keeps the beat of passion
For the love of life I live

The sum of all the parts
Is equal to the soul
I don't pretend to know the why
I guess it's just the rule
