Body and Spirit
In this world, I struggle to dance
But in my heart, with joy I prance.
With soaring heights of jubilation
My love for God, transcends this station.
In this body, I strive to sing
But in my spirit, grand anthems ring.
With rapturous power and harmony
I wail with ecstatic shouts of glee.
In this mind, I long to compose
But in God's love, epic symphonies rose.
With unearthly complexity and renown
I hear angel choirs and heavenly sound.
With this hand, I yearn to write
But in faith, I pen new perfect delights.
Completely delivered from carnal bounds
My hands are His, where no limits are found.
With this life, I wait until we are together
But in death, I will rush in where love is untethered.
Perfection achieved, when in heaven I'll rise
My hurts, every tear will be wiped from my eyes.
With this faith, my hope and future rest
But in Paradise, knowing and known is blessed.
Home at last, I will run streets of gold
I will race to Jesus, and loved ones to hold.
