Bobbie Jo's Dress

This morning Bobbie Jo woke
to the singing of a young Robin,
she said this is a good sign.

Been needing a new
dress, yes sir, a brand
new one just for me.

Beehive Department store
is having a giant of a sale,
half off all their dress's.

I will be oh, so careful,
getting a dress is
my mission.

So into town
went a very happy
Bobbie Jo.

Bobbie Jo,
arrived in town,
everything seemed,

fine, she walked
down the sidewalk,
with her head high in the air.

She would get a dress,
nothing would stop
here on this fine day.

Lets see said
Bobbie JO
to herself,

have I forgotten
anything, no
everything is,

so going good,
I will get me
this new dress,

Bobbie Jo reached
Beehive's Department Store,
she stopped in her tracks,

sign read, CLOSED,
for repairs, due
to pipes breaking,

poor Bobbie Jo,
it had happened to
her once again,

so a very sad
Bobbie Jo
went home again,

without what she
had came for,
will it ever end,

said Bobbie Jo,
will it ever end,
so slowly she went home.
