BOAT CHILDREN

Each day more arrivals
in small inflatables
escaping from troubles

their homeland far away
they cannot bear to stay
so travel to UK

a risky trip from home
some children on their own
come to country unknown

they think it no problem
someone will care for them
but there are risky men

who seem of friendly mind
and help those children find
a landlord that is kind

then big problems begin
for they’re exposed to sin
and find themselves working

in jobs with wicked ways
is how they spend their days
for evil men this pays.

Well penned Tony, the situation with the migrants and the conditions they live in / their perilous journeys to try to get to the UK are so hard to bear, :-( hugs Jan xx

Many thanks Jan. It is worrying. These children are used as slaves. Maybe they are at greater risk here than back at home. Hope you are well. Best wishes. Tony X
