Bluebird

There was a small bluebird who hurt her wings Because of this, she could never fly free Not damaged by her; by other's cruel stings Resulting a bluebird never to be Other bluebirds judged, "A bird that can't fly?" This bluebird tried to regain her past strength Sometimes this small bluebird wanted to cry Instead the bluebird went the extra length One small step out of her familiar nest She had so much that she wanted to share This bluebird was going to do her best She knew now she wanted someone to care A small group of birds, such help they did bring They made this bird great; they taught her to sing 10/17/12

the blue bird now no longer blue a lovebird as precise as an Eagles eye. Like an eagle soars the skies free and proud. Congratulations on your first place win. Well deserved for this beautiful touching sonnet.
