Blue Waves

We hear them crashing,
Into us,
We fear their immanence,
That split second,
The silence before the crash,
We close our eyes,
Only to realize,
Our life before us,
Immense power,
So destructive,
So powerful,
Death defying,
Yet beautiful,
Yet awe inspiring,
Yet the apple of life,
We are sand,
We small bits of gold,
We fear the crash,
Even though,
We are indestructible.
