Blue To Black
The vase in the window
has turned from blue to black
it is disappearing,
twilight has consumed it.
The cat asleep on the front lawn
has also dissolved.
In the whole countless starry constellation
only one star has broken through.
I watch its faraway light
play around the rim
of a shadow-vase like a firefly.
