Blue Skies

Go, Go, Go,
Go, where?
I don't know,
It frightens me out there.

Everything is going too fast,
I cannot keep up the pace
I do not want to join in
This awful rat race

I sit down in my armchair,
To rest my tired old eyes.
I feel myself slowly drifting,
Upward to sunny blue skies

I feel weightless,
Floating without a care
Like a wingless bird.
Flying high up in the air

I have a feeling of perfect peace,
One I have never experienced before.
I woke up suddenly to someone,
Banging at my front door.

I wrote this and a few others in a Dr's surgery while waiting for John this morning. I am so pleased you enjoyed reading it, Deb. It was a bit of escapism. Love, your comments. Take care. ShirleyX

They just have to bring us out of our heavenly experiences, Shirley. Hugs, Bill

They sure do, Bill. A little peace is getting harder to find. I hope all is as well as can be with you, Bill. Thank you for your welcome comments. Take care. Shirley
