Notes About The Poem

For Let it Rain Contest sponsored by Nette Oncloud

Blue Rain’s Pain

Tears from heaven offer me pity
As raindrops smell and sing solemn ditty
For rebirth chance of dreams to follow
Hope for growth for new life tomorrow

Like a sign I spot chick in nest
Mother bird with wing does her best
To shelter it despite cold touch blue rain
I shall as well try motherhood again

Congratulations Karen on your win in this contest on your lovely poem on rain and its possible negative impact on rebirth. This is an unusual and interesting view as (soft) rain is generally taken as having a positive impact on nature and rebirth in general. Wishing you a lovely day.

Last line gives this poem so much added depth, Karen. Really stopped me in my tracks and made me ponder the universe. Thanks, gw P.S. Check Soup Mail please

No wonder, the struggle was probably a fun challenge though as set up by the 'unexpected' and 'delightful' direction you took for your rain. I very much like your unique take and think it's got plenty of 'sense' about it!! CayCay
