Blue On the Inside
You are my friend and I do care for you,
but the things you've done are hard to understand
The little words of distaste you say.......but it O.K.
everyone feels jealous some day.
Afraid to hurt me? don't worry my dear,
I can take it all in my stride,
stop to care, am strong, I wont hurt,
there are more important things to do.
Tell me how you feel, don't hold it all inside,
getting a little blue on the inside?
envy's what pounding inside you,
and faking it makes it even worse.
Take down your sugar smile handsome,
stop creating unnecessary bottle necks
Just leave! I know you want to,
but you too proud to be the one to let go.
Let's do this, let us gamble...huh
roll the dice and take a number or
push the wheel and pick a category
The heart?...The mind?...or The body?
