Blue Eyes

There was a blue in his eyes
when his frown creased his brow,
a blue in his eyes
when tears slipped down his cheeks;
I fell in love with the blue in his eyes.
I drowned in the ocean
When he looked at me,
I felt my lungs hitch
as air swirl along my tongue.
There was a blue in his eyes,
when he let me go.
