Blue Dress
She walked across the room in a blue dress.
But a glimpse of her in my eye’s corner
Set my blood alight with fire - I confess,
Her ghost marked my heart, left me a mourner.
The silver skin sparkled, and so we dance’ -
Until alas, midnight did come to pass
And the clock rang so loud it broke my trance.
I awoke and found myself by a glass
In which I saw naught my own reflection.
The darkness inside ate away my soul
Leaving me without my one affection,
And killing any remnants of self control.
In her death I had lost... this game, myself...
Left my bloody tome for dust on a shelf.
