Blue Daisy
Spring in my garden's gorgeous,
Tulips planted all around.
My Peonies push proudly up
Until a hard rain knocks them down.
The Summer Morning-Glories
Shoot strongly to the sky,
While Moonflowers in the starlight
Mesmerize and mystify.
The Autumn leaves the leaves ablaze
Rich in hues of rust and red.
Chrysanthemums come to climax
As they swell and spread.
But in the Winter garden
No flowers can poke through
The rigid, frigid, hardened ground
Just makes my Daisy blue.
