Blue Canyon

Poet: Ken Jordan
Poem: Blue Canyon
Edited by: Sparkle Jordan
written: January/2014

Blue Canyon, is simply an oasis in the clouds,
that rest beneath a pristine
cerulean sky -

A picturesque town where imagination's
can run faster than the  nearby Truckee River -

Nestled on a majestic cliff nearly a mile high
above a wooded canyon, adorned by thousands
of blue spruce trees -

In winter, (with snow falling),  Blue Canyon,
is known as the snowiest place in America -

Rising towards the sky, like a blue moon
over the California, Sierra mountains -

It's not heaven, but, it's very
very close -

Blue Canyon, is simply, an oasis in the clouds
that rest beneath a pristine
cerulean sky -
