You Tube clip is of Davy Knowles - a manx guitar hero who plays Blues Music - he now lives in the USA

Blue was the name of my son’s teddy bear
Blue was so precious, a toy he’d never share

Blue is the sky on a bright cloudless day
Blue is the ocean where ships sail away

Blue Moon is a song that I still love to hear
Blue were a well known pop group of yesteryear

Blue signifies an emotion, when you feel upset
Blue Murder’s a crime drama I’ve not seen yet

Blue as a colour symbolizes loyalty and trust
Blue is my least favourite shade, I wear it if I must

Blue steak is seared outside but the middle is still red
Blue movies are sexy where folk romp around in bed!

I almost dropped this a spot for no punctuation, but you did a splendid job repeating the word blue like I wish others had done and I love this. Congrats.

Jan, you got me thinking about blue. Kind of Blue is also an album by Miles Davis that some consider the greatest jazz album ever recorded. Thanks to the prompt of your poem, I am going to listen to it now. You are so funny Jan. Love the last line that you chose to end with. It puts everything blue to bed for sure.

Someone moved into a house in our neighborhood and painted it blue....they were reputed to be making adult films there. We're told the house payments were defaulted on and we're waiting to see who moves in next.

Dear Jan, I love how you explore the multifaceted nature of the color blue with delightful whimsy and charm. From the innocence of a child's toy to the ocean's depths, blue evokes various emotions and associations. I also like your playful juxtaposition of cultural references, and everyday observations, which add depth to this colorful reflection. A delightful journey through the many shades of blue. - Blessings, Daniel

Aww Kim it melts my heart to think of my son and 'blue' he was so fond of him we worried in case he got lost so we got a second teddy (soft dolly more than teddy) I would wash one blue and give him the spare, he would look at it quizically as it smelled 'fresh' lol it wasnt until a few years ago we finally came clean there was Blue 1 and 2 lol. i am sure I did a poem about it:-) hugs Jan xx
