Blue

Life is a circle of colors of blue, Many that have quite a beautiful hue. Blue as the heavens with sun shining bright, And blue in the colors of soft firelight. Blue are the eyes which have cried when I'm sad, From lost to the heaven's dear loved ones I had. Blue is the water of tears that were cried, Blue all around me, and soft the wind sighed. Outside is a world that's colored so bright, But blue is my color of sadness tonight.

Wow, great poem! Blue is a wonderful color, one of my favorites. Though at times it can be the symbol of sadness. You captured it beautifully here. ~Anna Kaianah

Thank you Kim, I was a young mom in my early twenties when I wrote this poem, back in the 1980's. I remember just trying to put my emotion into words, it is one of my favorites from my old poetry journal. Thank you for stopping by for a visit <3
