Blowing Wind

Blowing wind along with rain

Rapping at my window pain

Leaves blow swiftly by my door

As the blackened skies begin to pour

Thunder rattles the ground with rage

Sounding like skeletons caught in a cage

Lightning bolts flash and light up the sky

Giving all night creatures cause to fly

I pull the covers up over my head

Knowing I'm safe in my own little bed
