Blossoms of God

The Japanese cherry blossom Trembles beneath my window, I think back to when I thought I saw god in the bloom. Walking the mile To the locked up church, Bolted fast, heavy oak, My stomach churning With apprehension, And disappointment At finding its emptiness Laid bare in the sunlight.
