Blossoming

I chose to leave my self built sanctuary For the Goddess of Life's temptations I knew that life out rhymed with misery Yet, I chose to follow my heart's ambitions! Pray, Life I saw, was made of constant change So much that one day becomes a night Why, humans are subject to whims of age Existence has a most sorrowful plight! I turned around and did see my shelter But I could help not, my heart was adamant It would beat on, even amidst disaster Why, of life, it has become expectant! Pray, if the world is truly as it is I hope my heart will meet not with disease!
