Blossomed Flowers
After the first floral buddings in Spring
sage green leaves once more adorn trees.
I enjoy May's gifts and the trills bird sing,
grateful for the month's first gentle breeze
as I hear music from my porch swing.
It's a glorious month! I have confessed,
when flowers bloom in the most vivid hues.
In their Sunday best they're always dressed.
Salvia wears shades of brilliant blues.
To the charms of May, I gladly attest.
