blooming without you
I tried to move on
But strangely
I was stuck to my feelings
As you left me behind
I was never like that
Before you came along
Like the last withering leaf of winter
I desperately stayed on
Hoping maybe I'd survive
And I did know
(somewhere in the back of my mind)
That if I did leave you behind
Yes,
Better, healthier leaves would grow
But I clung on to the hopes
That perhaps winter would stay
A little longer
The tree told me
To let go
And the remaining wisps
Of winter should go
Because it was spring now
And now
Spring has arrived
It smells of dandelions
And I've wished on someone else now.
