Blooming in the Ether

Blooming in the Ether

I still recall how it began, a silver thread in the ether,
A "hey" tossed softly into the dark like a seed made of fire,
You gave me your attention, a gift plucked from the cold stars,
And I caught that warm luck in my hands, like a dream with no address.

I heard your voice and swore, in the whisper of my mind,
That I would always want to hear it, like an old and sacred song,
It wasn't easy to convince you that my words were true and real,
But slowly I slipped into you, like smoke carried off by wind.

Now I'm here, right beside you, burned by a longing that won't fade,
I love you and I can't sleep without your voice, my treasure,
It feels like an old memory, like a dream repeating itself,
An echo spinning inside me like a galaxy without an ending.

I've forgiven my own shadow, the one that fell into the wrong arms,
The old wanderings of the past, burned down to ash and to forgetting,
You made me bloom all over again, like a moon newly born,
A silent miracle flowing through my veins like an endless sea.

Thank you, my darling, for everything you've brought into me,
I give you my faith, a flame that the wind cannot put out,
My loyalty is a vow written deep into the ether,
A mystic covenant, held until the end of this whole earth.
