Blithesome Ballerina

                     Blithesome Ballerina

The braided, lithe, ten year old ballerina,
Stepped out into her huge, beautiful yard.
Ah~ That delicious scent of a Midwest spring!
Running barefoot on the green, moist, loving
morning shards of grass.
Her delicate, long pink ballet costume,
With pink leather ballet shoes, that so divinely matched.

The golden butterflies flapped their joyous wings,
The chorus of a joyous bird orchestra chirped for her.
The huge floral bushes scented God's most perfect,
Freshest dawn air.

Across decades of time, how she wants to reach back,
To pirorette-dream into her floral yesterdays.
If only...to inhale those delicate bouquets.
And with a graceful, ballet curtsey, to a honor a morning in May!

Hello Panagiota, I just read this poem. As I read this poem, I just could see this little dancer in her ballerina outfit, dancing across the yard. Oh so nice to see. Hugs Darlene xxx-ooo. Enjoy your day my friend.

She sounds like a dream, I loved every single word of this beautiful missive, my friend! Every single word rang true in my heart, and gave me a bit of hope.

She, Caren is actually me-))). This present world is so awful~ I would do anything to turn back time. To those moments of rare beauty that I never dreamed would end. I loved the art of dance! So glad it gave you hope! Panagiota xxx
