Blissful Unawareness
Reality lies sandwiched
between fantasy and faith.
But the existence of hope
leaves room for uncertainty.
Authority looms in black,
with its rigid arms outstretched.
And swallows human rights while
defecating slavery.
Lonely hearts desperately
haunt the edge of dying dreams.
And promises rain manna
on gullible hungry souls.
Freedom fuels decisions
that take you outside the box.
For conformity's rooted
in blissful unawareness.
Puppets get tangled in strings
dangling from fragments of trust.
And stumble blindly through life
in pursuit of phantom dreams.
