Heartbroken, weak and unable to resist, These thoughts of you that persist, My head hurts trying to desist, My hand reaches for a quill as eager fingers insist, To write these words that my voice is saying, they go like this, In truth, your absence has brought great relief, and your presence, has been missed, And in my memory, thoughts of you will always exist, But as I make new memories, both old and new will learn to coexist, Dark shadows wouldn’t last forever, and in my own company, I look forward to experiencing feelings of long-awaited bliss.
