Blinded By the Light
I stopped along the way and saw you.
You didn’t look.
Din, grime and harshness surrounded you.
I didn’t see you.
Then, love in all it’s joyous complexity blinded us.
I touched you.
Pain and brashness bled through,
washed away
like the brightest metal in the forge of life;
you emerged.
Gallant.
Shining.
You saw me.
I reflected your light.
You touched me.
Then, as softly as a feathers flight in the wind;
You were gone.
