Blinded By Beauty
I tied my love to beauty's face
And fell into her wicked eyes
The world alive was fresh and new
She wore a good disguise
We counted petals in the Spring
In chosen meadows, we would lay
And watch the sun until twilight
Her hungry kiss would sway
The picture of her face I kept
I held it close inside my mind
Her presence haunted like a dream
Would always make me blind
Our rendezvous end breathlessly
I saw nothing for me to fear
Silhouette lays on sunset shore
Pierced by a lover's spear
To find I was time consumed
With fire's passion turned ash debris
She burned my soul with sensual sighs
Then dropped her mask with glee
