Blinded

Blinded creatures they are
"strained eyes" , I thought
I shiver and slap
the coarse and calloused faces
but they still remain unmoved...
the cunning serpent smiles
the lights grow dim
darkness fashions a devilish grin
as the serpent sticks
its venomous fangs
into the blinded creatures' abdomen
there is groaning
but still they remain
worshiping the serpent
whose slimy body
coils around them.
i sigh and look up
the gloomy sky
why?

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
