Blind Man's Bluff
“In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king”
A trail of blood and blistered soles
bear witness to pathways he has tread
leaving his mark on the world
Alone in the dark, he maps his own destiny
because he’s unable to follow
the course of those more fortunate
He feels his way through the life
that dealt him this undesirable hand
Where a spectrum of colors
is averted from open eyes…
wanting eyes, that leave the soul bleak
He heads to the warmth at the finish
where stars peer through darkness
and light awaits at the end of the tunnel
