Blind Man Running By the Light of the Night

There's only one way down a dead-end road
Drug dealers don't make good friends
Spend your whole life chasing your nose
Just sniffing in the Wind
I met my guardian guardrail
Smoking angel dust all day
I'm glad they were there to grab me
Because I thought I could fly away

And I'll fly away
Flew away
Just flied away

I found the blind man running
By the light of the night
He had the answer in his hand
I read what it said aloud
"Your God's your only friend"
His smile must have been
Stretching from ear-to-ear
"By God" said the blind man
"Thats what I thought I'd hear"
If he only knew how scared I was
I would shed a tear
That's when he said "I may be blind
But I can see your fear"

And I'll cry away
Cry away
Just cried away

I've been climbing the cliffs of life
Grass blade by blade
But I keep on slipping on
Mistakes I've made
With an outstretched arm
I yelled for you
To help emerging me from it all
But your little white nose lies
Just drounded out my calls
My whole life flashed in front of my eyes
During that fatal fall
You were the last clump of grass I grabbed
But you had no roots at all

And I'll fall away
Fall away
Just fell away

Cry away

I'll fly away

Despairing and intense, with some excellent imagery. Great poetry.
