Blessings

Wombs
ebb and flow,
ache in moon-times,
grow round now.

Aquaria globes
drumming within
unfold ova:
add, divide, multiply.

Blood throbs;
life lives,
tethered inside.

Screams wrench,
birth into motherhood.

Newborn
girls and boys with
pebble toes,
wise-eyes,
warm sweet-scented skin
and breath,
suckle
milk of the moon,
are blessed.

A wonderful celebration of miracles commingled, intertwined, and creating. From dust, the vessels of life. Our journeys.

A powerful free-verse celebration of birth, moving beautifully through the womb’s tidal rhythms to the intimate miracle of newborn life. The compressed, elemental imagery—“Aquaria globes,” “pebble toes,” and “milk of the moon”—gives it a sacred, lunar music, while the final blessing lands with deep tenderness.
