Blessed Be the Tree

Today I stood
Stared at the Tree’s wood
Wondered what if I could 
What if I understood
What it means to be good

Are we seeds
Meant to practice said good deeds
For God to show us mercy 

Do we really show up at pearly gates?
Those deeds deciding our fates

I wonder if He loved me
Then would he not take off the weights that drown me endlessly?
Maybe that is not how real love is shown
Maybe I must stay by the Tree

Wait and See
