Blessed Be

skip
a stone seven
times across
water's of
a calm pond
before day's bugle
blows

walk
stop
motionly around
an oak
tree before it's
two years old
too late

always
every
full moon even
if it oddly falls
twice
in one month
be nude

repeat
these
these three stanzas
four times two
everyday til twelve
midnight the first
of May

I love the nude comment. About my process. I'm very selfish. When I sit down to write. The first thing on my mind, is to entertain myself. As a child, I loved the poetry of Lewis Carroll and Robert Service and their fantastic abilities to rhyme. I think that's why I have a fondness for country music. I love when it all comes together, not as often as I want, to produce a stanza, where every word is perfect. It gives me a poetry high. Anyways. Have a great day my friend.

Can't seem to correct "Marie" to "Merle" Haggard that is. Thanks David. Remember when you pen you are also truly amusing me ad well. The song/poem structure you use brings me back to childhood as well. Spin another tale to tell David. I'll always read.

I haven't heard the name Robert Service in a long time. I don't know any of the fashionably new poets. To me it's interesting to see the British "ranting" (like Atilla the Stockbroker and Seething Welles) has turned into rap. But even the new has forgotten the old. I hate to say David that that is why I would rather hear Hank Sr.; Johnny Cash, or Marie.
