Bless Me, Father

Bless me Father,
For I have sinned,
For I have carved
to the bone
Revealing the evil in me,
the whore in me,
the drunk in me.
Touch me with the grace of God,
the grace I lack,
Because no one else will.
Everyone has left me now...
Open my eyes,
if it means closing my mind.
Cradle me
With your words
and
books.
Bless me,
Claim me as your own.
I am nothing,
I have nothing.
