Blemished

Blemished; tarnished as brass
In search of hidden places to rest
Floundering in seas of murky haze
Struggling through each cloudy day
Reaching out from the abyss
Yet helping hands stay far away

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Life can get very lonely at times, but now and then we find a friend who helps us get our lives back on the right track... This emotive piece is one that I think most of us can relate to. Nicely penned, Karen.

Yes, this poem engenders the disillusionment that is life itself. Well-knitted and deserving every inch of praise~7++.

Very thought provoking piece. The struggle goes on for us all... Some times it can be almost over whelming. And usually only we ourselves can gives us hope and a future....

Helping hands are closer than people realize, sometimes pride prevents people from asking for help.

Andrea, expressing feelings of sadness for people who are suffering from making bad choices. I do feel the sadness but sometimes we are just unable to help those who fail to learn from their mistakes. Thank you for stopping by ! Hope the muse visits me a little more often :)

it often seems at our darkest hour that no one is around to offer help, though they are, sometimes you just need to work through things on your own and if we fall they will help pick us back up :) I like this one! hugs

Sandra, I appreciate the perspective. This is more about people who suffer from some of their choices. A couple of close family members learning some tough lessons. Sometimes we are powerless to help :)
