Bleeding Hearts

Scarlet life soaks the powerful scene
In melancholy whispers of praise
Spoken in a prayer to God’s ear
As bleeding hearts weep shyly always
~
Vibrant cherry meets the silence
Blending with tears of pleasure
Hope thickened moments spent in
Reflections of hearts we treasure
~
Blushing rose awakens the spirit
To inspiration that is almost haunting
Coloring the thoughts in hues of
Compassion poured out oh, so daunting
~
Brilliant burgundy breathes light
Across the hearts and their yawning
Insight into the feelings we shed
When discovering a faithful dawning
~
Musical as crimson on a dew drenched leaf
There is wisdom alive inside the dance
Of a bud from this lamenting flower
Who desires to flood hearts at first glance
