Blank Paper

A blank page
sits before me another day
I leave
I hope it follows suit

A quick glance around the corner
Still there? Has it changed?
yes, of corse and no

I take a jog around the block
Still there, still blank
I feed the cat
still there

Feelings of dread fill me every time I peer around the corner
To see if the paper is still lurking
a vast expanse, of
Emptiness
