Blandishment

i take my stance
abandoned on these
desolate tracks of life
that seem to lead
to road blocks
and dead ends

blandishment
weakens an already
dying heart
temporarily
before
it batters
a soul

if caution came
aforetime
like a warning
on train tracks
perhaps
i could halt
impact
before
it implodes
my heart

A sad poem during a festive season it is made sadder no matter how beautifully it has been written dearest , Sandra. You know though that a single ray of light will decimate the most impenetrable darkness. Look up to the sky. He is coming. Cheer up!

Your heart weeps in this my sweet friend. Many things in life come without warning sadly. Your poems expresses this sentiment very nicely. Your words touch me my friend...deeply.

We had a meeting yesterday about train tracks, and proper stopping, even if the tracks are gone but a sign remains...we have active ones, i cross 4 times a day and some inactive ones...i guess it bled over into my mind and muse... thank you Chris for always being so kind... hugs :)

More personal deep lose Sandra; more then just family or friends; but a true lived one. If you really want to hear a warning on "the" tracks; just put your ear to the rail. Honestly it can tell, and so should signs of an undoing relationship.
