Blame

Failure's specter shadows my days, In dreams, I'm lost in an endless maze. Less ego, more teamwork, I see, Could've altered fate's decree. When projects blaze, then swiftly fall, Blame lands squarely, at my call. Seeking help, if ideas stall, Collaboration, best of all. Dreams revisit failures old, Two decades gone, yet still untold. Changing jobs to hide the pain, Blame rests solely in my domain. Dreams won't mend what's gone awry, The past is past, no need to pry. From errors made, wisdom glean, Release the grip of dreams unseen. A man may stumble, falter, fall, Yet failure's not his name to call. When blaming others clouds his view, He loses sight of what is true. But when he turns and takes the blame, He learns to rise, reclaim his aim. With newfound strength, he charts his course, Guided by wisdom, driven by force.

Dear Jay, your poem is filled with the universal struggle of grappling with failure and the weight of responsibility. The introspective journey you take the reader on, from the shadows of past mistakes to the realization of self-accountability, is both poignant and empowering. I loved how your words remind us that while failure may haunt us, it does not define us, and through introspection and collaboration, we can overcome its grip. Your message of resilience and growth shines brightly, offering hope and inspiration to those navigating their own paths of self-discovery. - Blessings, Daniel

Outstanding poem, Jay! The easy flowing rhyme immersed me in the experience of blaming then regretting doing so.You're right, a wise person learns that claiming responsibility ends frustration of the blame game. When I look back, my ego kept me in turmoil, unwilling to see fault in my own decisions/actions as a wife, mother, manager, and teacher. I especially liked these words: Dreams won't mend what's gone awry,...The past is past, From errors made, wisdom glean, Appreciate your insights, Sara
