Blame

It's the bane and worldwide poison
of humanity.
It blinds us with bandaids we
place over our eyes.
It's the ear plugs we  stick in
our ears.
It's pointing the finger of blame
on anyone and anything we
fear.

To be free, get your bandaids
off your eyes!
You will get to see the glory of
clear skies.
Toss the earplugs away, you
might learn that truth has more
than one side.
You will be absolutely free to
hear the other side.

Point the finger of blame at your
own grieving chest.
Then, and only then, will you be
able to be fully responsible and
do your level best.
It's a life full of integrity,
To find the cause of all my
problems is....me.

It is amazing how we fast we can stick our heads in the sand, and I have to admit, I am guilty sometimes also, not really wanting to know what I do not want to know. Well said my friend.

Because we are human, our minds are constantly judging one another.it's best to realize it and stop it, yes, hard to do, many times. You know that saying..be hard on yourself and easy on others? That finger of blame should be pointed at our own chests! Thanks..Panagiota

So true. It all starts with me, myself, and I... And I like how you couched 'blame,' i.e., in bandaids and earmuffs. Nicely done, Panagiota. :) gw

Many thanks for hanging in with me and my poetry. I counted 427 in not many months. All are not one or three liners. I leave that to other artists here far better than myself. Shalom, Panagiota.
