Blake An Isolated Genius

like a dying flame
            looking down
from
a
fired coloured
                      sky
a visionary
    in his earthly
                        life

mysterious
in every detail
          tempetuous
and yet
subjective

a lonely genius
mused
     by fierce
           inspirations
                tearing
imaginations asunder

visions
     of paradise
     in near
        abstracted clouds
                               of colour
delicate
detailed
      often sombre
the spirit
of a willing mind

writing
       designing
             engraving
printing
     copper plates
on a rolling press
&
a poet
       so sublime

     none-the-less

A truly wonderful description and exceptional tribute to Blake! Seems to me Blake does not get the credit he deserves in this modern culture of poetry elite that over promote modern poets and so deliberately ignore some of the golden greats.. A fav.. this is a true gem.. Thanks..

Thanks Brian, seems to me more poets should be discussing these legendary poets and offering information that would be useful to those that are unaware of poetry's rich history and its golden poets of old. Just my personal take on -giving- in poetry..
