Blackness of Sleep

Blackness Of Sleep

When my eyes close
I enter a world of total black
Dreams are there
I know they are
Yet, I cannot see them
I cannot visualize what they are
Even the nightmares stay outside my grasp
To me the world of sleep is closest to death
No Heaven and no Hell
No ideas or thoughts
No pain and no pleasure
Not even a first star to wish upon
There is just darkness that wraps around me
Just like a shroud
The death found in the night
Death that will disappear with the life of morning
If I do not go insane first

You brought home something that I also experience Rob! I do not remember my dreams or very seldom! Luckily I am an insane female anyway, so I do not have to worry about that one either! :) X Lizzie
