Black Monday Blues

Black Monday Blues

Pfaah! Tomorrow is Monday, dated the 4th January this year...
The last few days, Friday, Saturday and Sunday were great...
Friday was 1st of January, it was the 1st holiday of the year..
Saturday and Sunday that followed, weekends holidays there...
It had been fabulous, doing catch-up with holidays, friends and family....

Pfaah! Tomorrow is Monday, the very first Monday of a new year..
Having enjoyed the many holidays since December end last year...
Little wonder prevalent sentiments are generally lukewarm everywhere..
Xmas spirits and festive holiday mood persist well into this year..
It is so sobering to realise the demands on us on a upcoming Monday..

Pfaah! Tomorrow is Monday, 1st working day of the year...
You can hear muffled groans if you strain enough your ears to hear..
The working adults are mentally and doggedly prepared ...
To face the traffic jams and the stress of making ends meet...
School going kids, how much they sigh and groan, no longer feel upbeat...

Tomorrow is Monday, to start of one's daily grind this year...
For the working adult, the 8-5 daily grind is one's staple fare...
School kids, theirs is the early breakfast rush to school, cannot be late...
Then it is homework time, revision and tired minds till late into the night...
Adults and schoolkids alike, they are kept on their toes morning till night...

Pfaah! Tomorrow is Monday. Good Lord! When is the next holiday?

That's tough, working on weekends.. Having days off when others are working.. And when they pause for their weekend breather.. Look, the money you make, it has to be much bigger! Cheers !

TQ for the honest opinion... Was rightly put off by the notion.. Having to report for work comes Monday... If only one can self declare holidays...
