Black Fire

The blackness washes through me, Like a black wave of fire, Burning and licking at my insides. It hurts. The constant ache. Even as angels would watch over me, So would demons. They claw at me, Scream at me, Pound on me. I am not invincible. Sooner or later, I'll break. When this all oozes out, Your name will be the last thing on my lips. Not in condemnation, But in apology.
