Black Eyes

Black Eyes

i think the world is against me,
for i am black and poor.
some sniff their noses to pass me by,
others look me up and down.
yet, i say are they better?
are they pure and godly,
never starved or had no shoes?

yes, I am black, the whole world is black.
whiteness faded in the days of the pure.

U are amazing and unique in your own way, don't let the world of darkness devour you. There are always hurdles and difficulties in the path of success just confront them!

Nothing better to cure ignorance than having a shoe break and having to run across cold pavement to make it into the church or losing a close loved one…different seasons mom or spouse, etc… we either become bitter or more compassionate. Do we have a teachable spirit? Does God’s love reign in our hearts. All things we must ponder. God sees black eyes and loves them through and through. From a work in progress…until I leave this earth.

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder" so save yourself for the one who finds you beautiful as you are, and leave the rest find their own way in life. As an aside, few "beautiful" people are easy to live with!
