Black Diamond Night

I will always remember
My black diamond night,
The last night I spent with you.
The sky above was black as onyx,
The stars were diamond bright,
As you and I lay on the shore
And tried to make time stop.
We told each other of our love,
But alas, it was not enough.
For the morning still came.
You went away
Never to return,
And my heart forever cries.
My sadness is black like the stars that night,
But your love still shines like the stars.
My heart is forever yours,
And I will always hold dear,
The black diamond night I spent with you.
