Notes About The Poem

Black Cats

Black as the darkest of nights
Haunting beneath city lights
A stray to bring chills
To those who get thrills
From eerie cats causing frights

Beautiful poem! I love limericks. I'd love to recite this in an upcoming cabaret show I am doing, right before our newly-transformed cat character performs his solo. May I use this?

Nothing worse than a cat to suddenly appear and give you one hell of a fright. Good luck. Tom.
