Black and White
The colors black and white
What you get when your
devoid of intrinsic sight
Day vs. night
Evil vs. right
Shadow vs. bright
Skin color amidst a racial fight
In art however, a Highlight
Mix them up to shades of gray
you may find an authors book
a thunderstorms energy
that's off the hook
all depends how hard you look
A midnight sky lit up
with shinning stars
fireflies glowing
against blackened night
that children place
in empty mayonnaise jars
Like chalk and charcoal
both have a purpose, a beauty
In humans, a passionate soul
and a God given duty
All bleed red, It's scrolled
or so I've been told
word count 110
